The Calgary YWCA recently implemented a new policy, stating anyone carrying a cell phone with camera capability must check it at the front desk. Concerns arose after two individuals were caught taking photos of people in change rooms and putting them on the Internet.
"Essentially it was an answer to a question a gentleman asked in the media regarding our stance on the issue and we thought we would try to be leaders and put a policy into place," said YWCA General Manager of Health and Recreation Jan Bloemraad.

Column - I cannot help but thinking there is nothing. There, a direct confrontation with nihilism.
Nihilism is a philosophy that believes in nothing, it is an untenable position to hold. If one is reasonable, and holds the position, suicide is a necessary result. If you cannot believe in anything, then your life will hold no value to you. It is an incredibly attractive position from one point of view and an incredibly desperate position from another.

Womens Basketball - The Dinos women's basketball team can't seem to put a decent weekend together. After two splits in two weeks, the home crowd hoped for a pair of victories against the University of Alberta Pandas, Nov. 21-22, who were 0-4 before this past weekend.

When Jacek Malek became director of the Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts in 1997, the outdated artspace suffered from financial difficulties, questionable presentation, fluorescent lighting and cheap carpeting.
Today, the Gallery has a first-rate appearance, a renowned reputation and international allure. It has a clear focus at its core: the presentation of contemporary Canadian visual arts, architecture and design in the context of international art.
