StoriesStudents propose suicide prevention course2010-02-25 - A campus improvement fund initiative at the University of Calgary is introducing weekend suicide prevention training for Nursing and Social Work students. The decision was a quick one, only taking a month to make its way through the Student Academic Assembly. (1 comment) Alberta environment minister Rob Renner on campus 2010-02-11 - Alberta's Environment Minister Rob Renner visited the University of Calgary Feb. 5 as part of his commitment to visit students, engineers and scientists working on sustainability and developing research across the province. The minister lectured in an environmental engineering class and participated in the official opening of the Situ Energy Centre's new research facility, located in an expansion of the CCIT Building.
