Dinos Nathan Kendrick and Shannon Slater both competed Sat., Mar. 28 at the 14th World University Cross Country Championships in Collegno, Italy. Eighty-nine runners competed in the men's race over an 11km course and our very own Kendrick placed 51st with a time of 34:48. In the women's race, Slater placed 31st out of 60 with a time of 23:33 over 6.6km.

Calgary Roughnecks

The National Lacrosse League playoffs are fast approaching and the Roughnecks are looking pretty good. They traveled to the West Coast to take on the Vancouver Ravens Sun., Mar. 28 and defeated them soundly 19-12. Kaleb Toth and Jason Wulder both managed hat tricks, but the real accomplishment of the night was Ted Dowling scoring the 300th goal of his NLL career.

Fri., Apr. 2 sees the boys return home to the 'Dome to face the much feared Toronto Rock. The Rock are on an incredible eight-game winning streak but hopefully the Roughnecks will be able to stop them.

If you want to attend this game, head up to the Gauntlet office (MSC 319) and name the Roughnecks' captain to receive a pair of tickets to the Roughnecks-Rock game.
