Photo Recap: Folk Fest Sunday

For the final day of the 2016 Calgary Folk Music Festival, we took in a few more outstanding collaborative workshops and ate pie in the sun with Michael Bernard Fitzgerald.
Lisa LeBlanc looks as unsuspecting as ever before launching into some heaving strumming and thrashing at the Dark and Strummy Night workshop on Sunday.
The legendary James Blood Ulmer adds beautiful guitar to the soundscape at the free stage outside of Eau Claire Market. Ulmer’s straw hat perfectly matched the hale bale seats audience members perched on.
Michael Bernard Fitzgerald serenades and socializes with some lucky fans at one of his pie receptions on Sunday.
The Dudes’ lead singer Dan Vacan surprises the audience at the Tinnitus the Night jam with what Cécile Doo-Kingué pointed out was heart-felt music for such a mean-looking guy.
Ryan Weber and Rico Browne of The Weber Brothers take dueling instruments to a new level as they battle over the same cello at Stage 5.
