Studio Bell announces free admission on weekends

The National Music Centre, located in the trendy area of East Village, is celebrating the holidays by offering free admission on weekends to guests from Nov. 14 – Dec. 31, courtesy of ATB Financial.

Amidst rising COVID-19 cases, the National Music Centre ensures a safe experience touring exhibits detailing Canadian music history. When planning your visit to the National Music Centre, masks will be required as well as organized timed-ticket entry to maintain proper physical distancing guidelines. In place of admission, guests are encouraged to leave a “pay-what-you-can” donation, or to donate a non-perishable food item for the Calgary Food Bank. The National Music Centre is also offering discounted rates on their memberships at 50 per cent off. 

Featured exhibits currently on at the National Music Centre include the Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee for 2020, celebrating Jann Arden this year, as well as an online exhibit titled Speak Up! This exhibit explores the way that traditional Indigenous music has shaped an intimate connection to the land, by highlighting different Indiegnous artists who have contributed powerful messages of resistance, communicating a unique cultural experience.
