Windstorm fells campus trees
By Fabian Mayer, March 11 2016 —
The University of Calgary did not escape the damage caused by winds of up to 90 km/h that lashed the city yesterday.
The university warned students of potential flying debris, blowing dust and a tree that had fallen near the LRT station. Multiple trees were either uprooted or snapped due to the high winds. The cleanup is currently underway with a bulldozer clearing debris near the Social Sciences-Administration link this morning.
According to campus security, there have been no reports of injuries.
