The lady Dinos dropped to 2-3-1 after a pair of shutout losses to the University of Victoria Vikes and the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.

Sat., Sept. 27 against the Vikes, the Dinos didn't come out strong, surrendering an early goal.

"Our goal was not to let them score in the first fifteen minutes of play," stated striker Megan Durado.

Even though the Vikes first and only goal of the game came in the 11th minute, foiling the Dinos plan, it gave the soccersaurs a boost that lasted the rest of the game. Durado had a couple good scoring chances, but none of them found the net. Sophomore Renae "Superkid" Hunter also had a good game, making the Vikes offense look less-than-menacing. But when the dust settled, the score was 1-0 in favour of the Vikes.

Sun., Sept. 28, the T-Birds took the field looking to dominate the Dinos and that's exactly what they did. The contest remained deadlocked until late in the game when the T-Birds finally put two in. The final was 2-0 for the Thunderbirds as the Dinos were shut out for the second time over the weekend.

"The Thunderbirds and Vikes have always had strong teams and we knew this would be a tough weekend," Head Coach Robin Slot explained. "We tried hard but just couldn't find the net."

This upcoming weekend will be tough as the Dinos face the #2 team in Canada and leaders of Canada West, the University of Alberta Pandas on Sat., Oct. 04 at Foothills Athletic Park. Sun., Oct. 05 sees the Dinos host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. Games start at noon.
